5 Ways You can use Microsoft Viva in Your Workday
BY: INVID
Microsoft Viva is an excellent platform if you are looking to incorporate wellness into your daily work. It is why we have compiled five ways in which this platform can help you in your routine.
Focus Time
You can set aside time in your daily routine through Microsoft’s Focus feature for uninterrupted work. The platform will suggest pockets of time for you to set aside for focusing. However, if you want a more controlled approach, access the feature settings to configure the amount of time you wish to be focused, along with if your focus time should be set in the morning or the afternoon, notification settings, and more.
When this feature is activated, your status will show red, with a label that lets others know that you are currently focused on a specific task.
One-on-One Meeting
Do you want a one-on-one meeting with your boss or supervisor but are unsure when it would be best to schedule it? Viva’s Stay Connected feature can suggest when it would be best to schedule that meeting, with times that work for both parties.
Praise
Viva also allows you to praise colleagues. Let’s say that your team recently worked on a project; you could send a personalized message along with a badge highlighting your team’s work. It is a small but thoughtful way to stay connected, and it is sure to brighten your peer’s day.
Headspace Meditation
Whether you’re struggling to begin your work in the mornings or are in a mid-day flunk, Viva allows you to access quick meditations that will give you a break and leave you feeling better to tackle your tasks.
Here are a few of the meditations in Microsoft Viva:
- Presentations: Find a place of quiet confidence with an exercise that anchors you to the moment.
- WFH: Ending your day: Disengage from the workday and find space to be present.
- Stressed: Develop your awareness of stress and learn how to reframe negative emotions.
Inspiration Library
Furthermore, if you wish to expand some of your career skills, the Inspiration Library is full of small courses created by Microsoft, Harvard Business Review, and more. Many focus on remaining productive while working from home, finding balance and well-being in a hybrid work environment, etc.
All these features are a great way to elevate your work, especially in work-from-home environments.
