CORPORATE INTERNET PORTAL
INVID created a new portal that offers all new web features and services to MCS’s users and members. The portal empowers service personnel with tools to provide excellent customer service and improve client relationships.
MCS is the fastest growing company in the health industry, offering a great variety of corporate and individual health plans. They also offer custom-made products and guarantees competitive rates that satisfy all health care needs.
CHALLENGE
MCS’s internal system’s portal had been deficient for some time, mainly due to high maintenance costs and outdated technology. As the industry evolved, so did MCS. They needed an informative page that would also fulfill their requirements for storage, retrieval, and disposition efficiently through the new website.
Apart from this, MCS needed to revamp the look of their Internet-based content. The new internet portal would provide users with a simple, easy-to-use interface for managing information, pages, and content. It would also incorporate templates to facilitate navigation and site branding, resulting in a uniform corporate internet site.
THE SOLUTION
The outdated portal was transformed into a fully integrated service solution for both company administration and clientele. This renovation included a complete redesign of the portal, expanding its ability to offer a better solution for clients by providing various online forms, and allowing for a secure space where members can view their information and online generated reports.

INVID developed MCS’s new corporate internet webpage with SharePoint technology. Microsoft’s SharePoint 2010 is a robust product that provides a fully integrated solution to MCS’s needs.
SharePoint is a web-based service portal mainly used as an internal collaboration portal for companies. However, SharePoint can be configured as an external collaboration portal that integrates into already existing web portals.
SharePoint can also incorporate the primary database power of SQL Server 2008 with any other database environment already used by the client. Such was the case for MCS, where their database system was critical to their everyday operations.
RESULTS
As part of the development of the MCS project, we worked together with Populicom, a prestigious agency focused on UX. Seeing as they were already working on a project that required the use of SharePoint with high-security levels, Microsoft directly recommended a collaboration between us.
The portal automates many previously manual services. This empowers the service personnel with the right set of tools to continue providing excellent customer service and improve client relationship management. Furthermore, the new website responds to MCS’ functional and content needs, transforming it into a central communication platform. This added feature became a powerful way to improve day-to-day operations.
By taking full advantage of the low cost of ownership and maintenance of SharePoint technologies, we provided a portal that can be easily upgraded with new features and functionalities for future applications and services. Having a corporate internet portal within the SharePoint environment made an impact on MCS beyond just the screen. Now, productivity and improved customer experience are possible thanks to the easy-to-use interface.
