ACCOUNTING SYSTEM TO IMPROVE BILLING ACCURACY

Accounting doesn’t have to be a long, arduous process. With INVID, the Hospital del Niño de Puerto Rico was able to turn days of billing processes into just hours of work by using an InfoTrack system. See how we did it!

Hospital del Niño de Puerto Rico is the only pediatric health institution on the island that provides extended stay and convalescence services to patients between 0 to 21 years old with physical or mental disabilities.

CHALLENGE

Hospital del Niño is one of the most important health institutions on the island. Because of this, they wanted to optimize administrative procedures to redirect more times towards providing services to patients in need. To do this, the hospital decided to implement technological and innovative solutions to automate processes that archived data on patients and services provided.

However, the true challenge of this project was the deadline put in place by the hospital. The project had to be completed in a short time, leaving only two months to analyze, design, develop and deploy our solution.

PERFORMANCE

INVID began the project by gathering information and studying the manual reports and forms HDNPR wanted to automate. After extensive analysis, our team created a custom-made application that fulfilled all the requirements provided by HDNPR.

As a non-profit organization, HDNPR was able to obtain a licensing donation for Microsoft to reduce the cost of the application. By partnering with Microsoft in this effort, INVID delivered a high-tech solution that would automate registering patients and other services provided by the hospital.

INFOTRACK

InfoTrack is a technology that provides innovative services for professionals, businesses, and individuals. By incorporating this service in the solution provided by INVID, users can fill out electronic forms and store data in a centralized space. Furthermore, they can search records and edit information with ease. SQL Reporting Services can emulate government forms, allowing HDNPR to export reports and send them to government agencies while staying compliant.

The true power of the application comes into play when users want to access information from any place. Since the app is web-based, the data is accessed anywhere in the hospital. The app has:

Robust search capabilities
Strong security protocols
Detailed reports that fit the needs of any agency

With low costs of ownership, assistance from Microsoft Licensing, and the team at INVID, InfoTrack became a great solution that allowed HDNPR to achieve success.

TESTIMONIALS

Before Infotrack, it took us a long time to prepare the invoices and then they were not accepted because we had at least five or six errors. Now we can do it without errors in an hour, and that’s great.
